Blogger sitemap official XML file

There are many blogs and video content available on the internet that generates atom feed links. That is not the XML sitemap. You’ve to update this feed link from time to time.

And atom feed links only generate for blog posts, not for pages. If you have several pages containing static content, there is no solution with a feed link. So we’ll generate the sitemap for both blog posts and pages both. And you never need to update these sitemaps again and again. Blogger automatically keeps this sitemap updated.

Generate an XML sitemap for the Blogger Post

You can access the sitemap for posts by placing sitemap.xml at the end of the website URL. This sitemap will contain all posts that are published until today.

Suppose the blog URL is https://example.blogspot.com, then the sitemap of this blog is accessed at https://example.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml.

Generate an XML sitemap for the Blogger Pages

Access the Blogger pages sitemap by placing sitemap-pages.xml at the end of the website URL. This sitemap contains all pages that are published. When you post new page/s, it will automatically add the sitemap.

For the blog URL https://example.blogspot.com, the sitemap for pages will be https://example.blogspot.com/sitemap-pages.xml.

So the sitemaps will be

  • https://example.blogspot.com/sitemap-pages.xml

or the sitemap for a Blogger custom domain will be

Enter the Homepage URL of Your Blog with http or https://, don’t enter m=1.

Submit the sitemap to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tool.

This XML sitemap is optimized for the Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tool. These both are the major search engine. Submitting this sitemap to webmaster tools means we’re allowing the search engine to fetch our website’s post for the search results.

Now, submit this Blogger sitemap to Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools for the SEO results.
